When AI sweeps for answers, does your site paint?

When a buyer asks ChatGPT or Claude for a recommendation, the models only cite sites they can read. We run the sweep, score the return, and hand you the exact lines to change.

The four engines we sweep

ChatGPT

OpenAI

Claude

Anthropic

Perplexity

Perplexity AI

Gemini

Google

These four assistants carry most AI mediated discovery today. We fetch your site the way their crawlers do, as static HTML with no JavaScript, mirroring GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and CCBot.

The click is dead

A buyer used to search, scan ten blue links, and pick one. Now the assistant answers. If your site is not in the answer, there is no link left to click. You are not ranked lower. You are absent.

Answer engines

You rank on Google. You are dark to AI

Google reads your site with a renderer that runs your JavaScript. An answer engine often does not. It takes what the server hands over on the first pass. A page that builds itself in the browser arrives empty. Good rankings and a dark radar screen live together comfortably, and most owners never learn it.

How a sweep runs

  1. 1

    You give us the domain.

That is all we need. No account, no crawl agent to install, no code on your site.

  2. 2

    We run the sweep.

We fetch every page the way an answer engine does, probe robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt and your structured data, check the apex over both http and https, and score six categories against a published rubric.

  3. 3

You get two PDFs and a repair kit.

One report for the principal, one course corrections guide for whoever runs the site, and a zip of paste ready files. Every fix is ordered by impact against effort.

What the sweep measures

Fairway

15%

Crawler access. Does your apex serve over both schemes, and does robots.txt let the AI crawlers in?

Charts aboard

15%

llms.txt and llms-full.txt. Have you published a current, dated file that tells a model who you are and what you do?

Signal signature

20%

Structured data. Does your JSON-LD name the right entity, with real contact details and real profiles? Markup naming the wrong entity scores below having none at all.

Echo return

25%

Readable content. Do your deep pages return their own words in the served HTML, or do they build themselves in the browser and arrive empty?

Crew and colors

10%

Entity and proof. Is there a named human with a real bio, verifiable credentials, and consistent name, address and phone across the web?

Hailing response

15%

FAQ. Are there liftable answers in the served HTML, with markup that matches the visible text word for word?

Every sweep scores against the published band table. A category score is a rubric judgment against observable evidence on your site, not a third party measurement. We say so in every report.

Hailing frequencies

How long does a sweep take?

We email your report as soon as the sweep is complete. Most run inside one business day.

Is the sweep fully automated?

No. Every run includes a Human in the Loop. A senior staff member reviews the findings and signs off before we put our name on the report.

Which engines do you sweep against?

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. Those four carry most AI mediated discovery today.

What do I actually receive?

Three things. A management PDF for the owner, a course corrections PDF for whoever runs the site, and a zip of repair files that paste straight in. Nothing arrives as a raw text file.

Do you store my site data?

We keep your report and the evidence the sweep collected, so we can re-issue the report and compare a later sweep against it. We do not sell it, share it, or train models on it.

How accurate is the score?

The six category scores are rubric judgments against a published band table, made from observable evidence on your site. We write the evidence beside every score. The composite is a weighted average, rounded half up, and the arithmetic is printed in the report so you can check it.

My site sits behind a CDN or a firewall. Does that matter?

Often it is the whole problem. We test how your CDN or firewall answers an AI crawler user agent, and we tell you plainly if it is turning them away.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The free range check returns a preliminary band, one real observation from your served HTML, and the status of your machine readable files. No payment, no account.

What does Proof of Passage add?

One re-sweep at 30 days and a movement table that says which numbers moved and whether the site changed or the observation changed.

Can I run more than one sweep?

Yes. Each is a one time purchase. Most people run one after a major site change, or once a quarter to watch the trend.

Who fixes the problems?

You do, or your web person does, using the course corrections guide and the repair kit. Every fix names the exact file, the exact line, and a check you can run to prove it worked. Some items belong to your website vendor, and we write the ticket for you to send them.
